PrepVibe ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the PrepVibe mobile application and website at prepvibe.live. Please read this carefully.
1. Information We Collect
PrepVibe is an education-focused app that helps students prepare for competitive and academic exams through practice tests, study tools, community discussion, and related features.
Information You Provide
- Mobile number (for OTP-based login)
- Name, username, profile photo, bio, city/district, and education details
- Date of birth, gender, and email address (optional, if you choose to add them)
- Selected exam categories, streams, and home/path preferences
- User-generated content such as posts, comments, replies, polls, images, PDFs, and other attachments you upload
- Direct messages and connection requests you send or receive
- Study Map progress, quiz attempts, mock-test activity, and similar learning data you generate in the app
- Full name, mobile number, address, and exam-preparation stream, when you register for a PrepBattle contest (used only for eligibility verification and contest updates — see PrepBattle below)
- Support or privacy requests you send to us
Information Collected Automatically
- Device information needed to run the app (for example device model, OS version, and app version)
- Authentication and session-related technical data
- Push notification tokens used to deliver alerts and reminders
- Approximate technical network information necessary to operate our services
- Ad-related technical identifiers and consent signals when ads are shown (see Advertisements)
Information from Third Parties
- OTP / SMS delivery providers that help verify your phone number
- Google Firebase services that power authentication, database, file storage, and messaging
- Google AdMob for in-app advertising interactions and related consent/privacy signals
- Razorpay, our payment gateway partner, for processing PrepVibe Pro purchases (see Paid Educational Content below)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your PrepVibe account and keep you signed in securely
- Personalize exam-related content, alerts, and study experiences based on your selected streams and preferences
- Provide core product features such as Discussion, Study Map, Mock Tests, Daily Quiz, Leaderboard, Exam Alerts, Messages, and Connections
- Store and display profile and community content you choose to share
- Deliver push notifications for exam alerts, reminders, and activity (subject to your device and in-app settings)
- Display advertisements in limited placements via Google AdMob
- Process PrepVibe Pro purchases and manage your Pro entitlement and its validity period
- Improve reliability, fix issues, and maintain platform security
- Respond to support, privacy, and account requests
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only as needed to operate PrepVibe:
Service Providers
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, Cloud Storage for uploads (such as images and PDFs), and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications
- OTP / SMS providers and our authentication backend — To send and verify one-time passwords for phone login
- Google AdMob — To show in-app ads and manage related advertising privacy/consent where required
- Razorpay — To securely process PrepVibe Pro payments; Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant and handles your card/UPI/bank details directly, which PrepVibe never sees or stores
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or a competent government authority.
Public / Other-User Visible Information
Depending on your privacy settings and how you use the app, other PrepVibe users may see information such as your name/username, profile photo, bio, public profile details, posts, comments, replies, and similar community activity. Direct messages are shared with the participants in that conversation.
4. Advertisements
PrepVibe currently uses Google AdMob to display native advertisements in limited places within the app, including:
- the Discussion feed (shown between posts), and
- the Study Map home screen (one placement when study content is available).
AdMob and Google may process advertising identifiers and related data to deliver ads. Where required, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent tools before requesting ads.
- You can manage personalized ads through your device settings and, where available, Google's privacy / consent options
- Ad revenue helps us operate and improve PrepVibe
- We do not control the content of third-party advertisements
PrepVibe does not offer in-app surveys, coins, wallets, cashback, or survey-partner earning programs.
5. Paid Educational Content (PrepVibe Pro)
PrepVibe offers an optional paid plan, PrepVibe Pro, which unlocks unlimited access to premium mock tests, full test series, and the complete PYQ (previous year question) paper archive for a fixed duration (currently 6 months or 1 year). PrepVibe Pro is a one-time purchase — it does not auto-renew and no recurring payment is taken from you. Core features such as result analytics, rank, the daily quiz, exam alerts, and the discussion feed are available to all users regardless of Pro status.
Payments for PrepVibe Pro are processed through Razorpay, a licensed and PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. When you purchase PrepVibe Pro, we process:
- Your selected plan, order ID, and payment ID (issued by Razorpay)
- Payment status (such as success or failure) needed to activate your Pro entitlement
- Your Pro start date and expiry date, stored against your account
PrepVibe does not collect, see, or store your card number, UPI ID, bank account details, or any other payment instrument details — these are handled entirely by Razorpay and its banking partners in accordance with applicable RBI and PCI-DSS security standards.

6. PrepBattle — Skill-Based Contest
PrepBattle is a live, timed, multiple-choice quiz competition. It is a game of skill, not a game of chance: your final ranking and any reward eligibility are determined solely by the number of questions you answer correctly and how quickly you answer them. There is no random draw, wagering, betting, or lottery element anywhere in PrepBattle.
PrepBattle is free to enter for every contest — there is no entry fee, deposit, or stake of any kind required to participate or to be eligible for a reward. Every participant answers the same questions, under the same timer, with the same scoring and leaderboard rules — there is no paid tier and no way to buy a competitive advantage.
Rewards
PrepBattle awards no cash prizes, gift cards, or other monetary value at any rank. Top performers on the leaderboard instead receive free PrepVibe Pro access as a merit reward, with the duration varying by rank. The reward tiers for each contest (which rank gets how much free Pro access) are set by PrepVibe for that specific contest and are always shown on its registration and result screens before you play — they may vary between contests. We collect your full name, mobile number, address, and exam-preparation stream at registration solely to verify eligibility and communicate contest updates — this information is never sold or used for unrelated marketing.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures, including:
- Firebase Authentication with OTP-based login (we do not store account passwords for this login method)
- Firestore security rules and access controls intended to limit who can read or write data — including restricting Pro/entitlement fields so they can only be granted by our verified backend after a successful, signature-verified Razorpay payment, never by a user directly
- Encrypted transport (HTTPS / TLS) for data in transit
- Soft-deletion / account-closure flows that remove or anonymize profile fields when you delete your account
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
8. Children's Privacy
PrepVibe is intended for students and aspirants preparing for competitive and academic exams. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at gulabmac45@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.
9. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request information about the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Update or correct your profile and settings in the app
- Export — Use in-app data export options where available, or request a readable copy of your data
- Deletion — Delete your account from in-app Settings / Privacy flows, or request deletion by contacting us
- Notifications & ads choices — Manage notification preferences in the app/device settings, and manage personalized ads through device / Google privacy controls where available
